Hey "Max" how are you installing the WinFX runtime?

As part of some prototype work I’ve been doing recently I’ve tried to find ways to get WinFX installed as part of a ClickOnce deployment.  I wonder how “Max” is doing this?  From the download page I hear “Microsoft Codename Max requires the WinFX September CTP in order to function properly. Max will install this for you.”  Say what?!?!?!

What I want to know is how Max managed to corrupt my PS2 keyboard driver. I installed everything (.Net 2, WinFX, Max) and things ran fine, the Mantel (?) feature in Max looked cool, until it gave me a Blue Screen of Death. After rebooting, I was unable to log back on, as the keyboard had stopped working.

1 hour later by the help of a USB keyboard I had uninstalled everything, removed and reinstalled the PS2 keyboard, rebooted about 7 times, but no luck - my computer still barfs at the PS2 keyboard...

I guess this is why they made virtual PCs.
