Platform futures
It was an awesome presentation by Don Box (with his homies).
I was impressed by the ease of implementing the different parts of Indigo. It also forced me to think differently. It seems like Microsoft, with all its different innovations presented in this PDC, is trying to modify the way people think of developers. They are truly lowering the bar for developing new software. It seems as though they are trying to get amateur developers a lot more power with the tools they normally use (such as Office) and provide them with the capabilities that are normally considered esoteric and beyond the common man's reach.
Basically, there are
Messages (The universal truth)
Contracts (The way to present that truth to others)
Claims (To say that the truth is really the truth)
Workflows (To get the different parts of the truth to hold together)
Awesome stuff.
Can't wait to play more with this!!
Oh, at 1.45, there is a basic intro to WWF (Windows Workflow foundation). Waiting for that...
