I was lucky enough to go to PDC I thought it only fair to bring all of you back a little gift. So here it is... "The Finalizer" wallpaper! I saw this lethal little guy hanging out in the market place today and I couldn't resist going in close for a photo!

WPF + WWF + WCF = MAGIC

In the last few days Microsoft has made a huge number of exciting announcements!

Mike Torres from the spaces team put it well in his post when he said...

"The biggest year in Microsoft's 30 year history starts right now. Come along for the ride or watch from the sidelines. Either way, you can't miss it."

The best part is that you can instantly read the reaction of hundreds of Attendees, Speakers, Staff, Press and Community... you can even see all of their photos here.

I have been at the PDC for four days now and its the last day of the conference today... I've had an overload of information and it's still coming. Fellow kiwi's Jeremy Boyd and Chris Auld are also blogging a lot about their PDC experiences.

So where do I start? At the beginning the PDC Keynote...



I think for now with so much to say and so much to cover the best way is to tell you what's new is to let you discover it for yourself!

Fellow kiwi Paul Andrew did a great job demonstrating Windows Workflow Foundation to hundreds and hundreds of people. Here is a photo I took of him after the Windows Workflow Foundation Introduction session.



Paul even had time to write a book!

My session pick of the conference was COM325 with Don Box and Dharma Shukla.



Don Box opened with the comment 'I don't know how to measure the S-O-A ness of any software!' and then proceeded to plead to the world media that was present in the room not to take 'Workflow Enabled Services' and create a world movement out of it... he also pleaded to the rest of us not to make T-Shirts out of it.

One last thing! The Release Candidate for Visual Studio 2005 and the September CTP of SQL Server 2005 have been released for MSDN subscribers. These two version work well together. Expect Beta 3 of Team Foundation Server to follow shortly.
