New Microsoft Expression Blend December release available and Expression Blend 2 December release.

You can download the new version of Expression Blend This is going to be a trial version only as will expire 60 days after the installation.

To avoid Expression Blend from expiring, you'll have to purchase a key from Microsoft.

If you already installed the version from September, just install the

1. Download and install Expression Blend (25.5 MB)
2. [Recommended] Download and install
   Expression Blend Service Pack 1 (782 kilobytes (KB)).
3. [Optional] Download and install updated User Guides.

Windows XP:

You will need a Windows Live ID to download this Trial. If you do not have a Windows Live ID, please visit Windows Live and create one before you download the trial software.

Windows XP

1. Install .NET Framework 3.0 (up to 50 MB)^* first before attempting to install Expression Blend.
2. Download and install Expression Blend (25.5 MB).
3. [Recommended] Download and install
   Expression Blend Service Pack 1 (782 kilobytes (KB)).
4. [Optional] Download and install updated User Guides.

For Expression Blend 2

Windows Vista:

You will need a Windows Live ID to download this Trial. If you do not have a Windows Live ID, please visit Windows Live and create one before you download the trial software.

1. Install the .NET Framework 3.5 first before you install Expression Blend 2.
2. [Optional] Install a version of Silverlight:
   • Silverlight 1.0
   • Silverlight 1.1 Alpha Refresh
3. Install Expression Blend 2 December Preview^* (25 megabytes)
4. [Optional] Do one of the following:
   • Install Visual Studio 2008 or Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition for developing WPF and Silverlight 1.0 applications. (Projects that you create in Expression Blend 2 December Preview cannot be opened in Visual Studio 2005. You can still open and edit projects that were created by using earlier versions of Expression Blend in Visual Studio 2005).
   • Install Visual Studio 2008, and install Silverlight 1.1 Tools Alpha for Visual Studio 2008. for developing managed (.NET) Silverlight-based applications.

Windows XP:

Please do not confuse Expression Blend with Expression Blend 2. The second one is the only one with support for Silverlight.
