Jason starts his game and talks about the Express Products:

"My renewed impressions of Visual C# Express? After being used to using Visual Studio 2005, it is truly striking just how much of the same functionality the Express Editions truly have. So far, I have yet to truly miss a single feature. With the work that Jamie Cansdale has done getting the TestDriven.NET add-in working with the Express Editions, I have nearly everything I need."

Now that we have started the contest, here is a list of the competitors that have signed up. It looks like we are going to have a great event, but I would like to see more contestants (What can I say, I like competition):

Just my .02 - I have had a great experience with a SharpDevelop/Web Matrix combination. I love SharpDevelop, but do a lot of development for the web so had actually been holding on to VS 2003 and .NET 1.1 for all my web dev. I then figured out that I could create my web projects in Web Matrix, handle all of the code behind in SharpDevelop and then debug with DbgCLR.exe (SharpDevelop will not hook the Asp.net process into the debugger automatically, but it is planned in a future release). After getting over the initial productivity loss of switching between apps, I really feel just as productive as I ever did in VS 2003 and I'm not missing anything from VS 2005 (at least I don't know that I am missing it, I haven't done a ton with it).

Would it be possible to get an updated list of everyone's blog that is currently in the competition?

Part of the fun for me has been following everyones progress.
