    TechEd Hands-On Labs: Attendee Comments

Here are some actual HOL attendee comments, pulled from our customer evaluations:

The level of detail in explaining what and how everything was being accomplished was fantastic. There were many areas where commands were executed before and after to definitively convey the objectives of the lab. This lab was the best of the Hands-On-Labs and should be emulated in the other labs. The person who put this together really did their homework and understood what the customer or lab attendee was thinking at each juncture.

Fantastic lab, great material laid out in easy to understand fashion. Great help from MCT proctors, keep them!

     --

We're currently implementing MIIS at my place of work. This will help me gain a better understanding of what the implementation team is doing.

    --

I like the all in one experience with lab manual online and various tabs for the VM's. Made the lab experience very nice.

    --

The hands on experience is much more valuable to me that sitting in presentations watching someone that is already an expert at the tool doing a number of tasks really fast. This helps to give me a perspective on how "joe-average" developer would interact with the tool.

    --

I am fairly seasoned with the older controls (.NET) and could find a lot of use for the new controls and their simplicity.

    --

The ease of being able to set up Forms Authentication is going to be a huge benefit to several projects that I will be working on in the near future. Bring out Visual Studio 2005 now!!!

    --

This year it is a little more distracting at first with the extra noise, however I like the fact the labs are not up in a room far away. Easy to jump in and do a lab for an hour.

    --

I will implement better web interface solutions and consequently make the world a better place.

    --

I will use it to enhance security to protect database of ours.

    --

The dev lead that created the class designer in Whidbey actually came up to me and asked if he could answer any questions. That was great!

    The LaunchPad! It’s AWESOME!

    --

Very positive experience. Great help from the trainers. I enjoyed my conversation with Kyle, he was very helpful and informative.

    --

Everything was great. I think the use of Certified Trainers is an excellent idea, and I highly recommend you continue that in the future.

We will be using eConnect in the next month to integrate our CRM and Commission systems with the accounting system. This lab helped with understanding the basics of eConnect.

    --

I think the Hands on Labs have been the biggest pleasant surprise of the conference. I will change my schedule to get more HOL time than I was originally planning. Excellent work & execution.

Knowledge that I have gained here has prepared me to use the next version of SQL Server analysis services.

    --

This is definitely something we are looking to put into our business (Analysis Services). It is going to change the way we as an IT team work, and how are users interact with the data they so badly need.

    --

I'm a manager (which means I don't understand much!), so it helps me understand the importance of SSIS in our environments.

    --

Good Job. Been attending TechEd since 2003. Labs have never been better then this year.

    --

We run Commerce Server 2002 at HP and my group is responsible for the deployment. This session gave me a great overview of CS 2006.

    --

I manage a team of BizTalk developers and this lab was for me to learn more of the development tool of BizTalk 2004. It will be useful in discussions with consultants.

    This was a great lab
