My Day One PDC 2005 Highlights
Great first day with a few surprises!!
My favourites were:-
- LINQ - Now this is well cool!! It's the ".NET Language Integrated Query" Project, check out Anders Hejlsberg Channel 9 chat and the MSDN article here (esp the LINQ Whitepaper)
- AJAX - A package of new Web development technologies that integrates an extensive set of client script libraries with the rich, server-based development platform of ASP.NET 2.0.
- Windows Presentation Foundation/Everywhere or WPF/E - this looks interesting it's essentially a cross platform XAML rendering engine - Windows, Mac and Devices (WinCE at the moment).
Nah, alas missed out on the phone deal:(
